About the Show

April 28-30, 2023

Book by Claudia Shear and Tim Federle, Music by Chris Miller, Lyrics by Nathan Tysen, Based on the novel Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt

What would you do if you could live forever? Eleven-year-old Winnie Foster yearns for a life of adventure beyond her white picket fence, but not until she becomes unexpectedly entwined with the Tuck family does she get more than she could have imagined. When Winnie learns of the magic behind the Tuck’s immortality, she must fight to protect their secret from those who would do anything for a chance at eternal life. As her adventure unfolds, Winnie faces an extraordinary choice: return to her life, or continue with the Tucks on their infinite journey. Based on the best-selling children’s classic, the TYA edition of Tuck Everlasting is a condensed 70-minute version of the Broadway production.

SENSORY-FRIENDLY: 2022-2023 begins a new tradition of all shows being performed in the historic NorShor Theatre. This is one of select performances open to all patrons -- intentionally modified to accommodate patrons with sensory and vestibular sensitivities, anxiety, dementia, autism spectrum disorders, learning differences or challenges attending the theater. Small modifications are made to the performance, which may include reducing the volume of loud noises and effects, eliminating strobe lights, keeping the house lights on and having a relaxed attitude toward sound and movement in the audience. In addition to making adjustments onstage and in the theater, lobbies and public spaces will include quiet areas, sensory-friendly activities and increased staff to create a safe, welcoming environment.
