About the Show
Oct. 11, 2023
This two-hour class is for anyone interested in learning some of the history of the fan, the language of the fan, and how to use it in dance (movements to music will be taught) or as part of daily living. It will be taught from a seated position, and modifications will be included for anyone who might be challenged by the hand movements. Anyone who is an absolute beginner can participate; even those with some experience are welcome to participate since they, too, might learn something new.
Supplies: Students will need a fan, preferably no longer than a 13-inch radius or 26-inch diameter; shorter fans are also fine. Paper fans are too flimsy.
