About the Show

October 17, 2026

Celebrate the opening of the Walker Design Triennial: Beyond Materialism with a panel featuring exhibition curator Joseph Grima in dialogue with leading designers and theorists. The conversation will explore how designers are embracing the needs of the mind and the spirit and transforming their field to better engage with societal challenges and opportunities.

Following the talk, experience an in-gallery activation of the installation of Learning to Build, Building to Learn by VESSEL (James Bridle and Navine G. Dossos). Fabric from the installation will be cut live and participants can receive complimentary fat quarters directly from the artwork. Distribution begins at 3:30 pm.
