N.K. Jemisin is the only author in speculative fiction to win three consecutive Best Novel Hugo awards -- for her Broken Earth trilogy. Her most recent novel is the New York Times bestselling The World We Make (2022), the conclusion to the Great Cities duology beginning with The City We Became. She was a 2020 MacArthur Fellow. Jemisin lives and writes in New York City. Presented by the Freier Lectures in Literature series; free with registration.
