Planetarium-only tickets do not include access to any museum galleries. Please arrive 15 minutes before your showtime for seating. Adult $10, Senior (65+) $9, Youth (3–21, 0–2 years free*) $8, U of M Student (with current student ID) $5; Bell Museum members get 50 percent off planetarium tickets every day. Combo -- Museum Entry & Planetarium -- price includes a ticket to the museum before the planetarium show; please arrive within 15 minutes of your arrival time. For alternative entry times please call for tickets, 612-626-9660. Adult $21, Senior (65+) $18, Youth (3–21, 0–2 years free*) $16. Explore the sun in all its glory in this fulldome show. Sunstruck! takes us on a journey to discover the wonders of our magnificent star and investigate how it has supported life on Earth for millennia. This program includes information on the structure of the sun, the source of its energy, and how solar activity impacts our world. Located in the center of our solar system, our Sun is an average star. Learn about its mass, gasses, temperatures and energy… and its fate in the far distant future.
Recommended for ages 8 & older.

The Sun, Our Living Star tells the story of our nearest star—our planet’s powerhouse, the source of energy that drives Earth’s winds and weather, and the ball of light that allows the very existence of life. Discover how the Sun dictates our days, seasons and years. This show allows viewers to experience the Sun in a new way, with never-before-seen images of its turbulent surface in immersive full-dome format, revealing its power and variability in breathtaking detail.
