No cost to attend, though a voluntary $20 ticket option is available. All registrations include breakfast catered by Chowgirls including gluten-free and vegan options. Free parking is available at Glass House (50 spots) and the Minneapolis Farmers Market lot (150 spots). Glass House is accessible via Metro Transit Light Rail and several bus routes. Join Lifeworks for a conversation on avoiding ableism and becoming true allies to the disability community. Disability advocates will address the importance of disability inclusion and why now is the time to act. Together, we will commit to taking specific actions to be an ally and be ready to encourage our networks to join us.
Keynote: Michelle Anderson, writer, working professional, therapeutic horseback riding instructor, and burn survivor.
Panelists: Judy Moe, Executive Director, Richfield Disability Advocacy Partnership; Brittanie Hernandez-Wilson, Equity and Justice Director, The Arc Minnesota; Dupree Edwards, Teaching Artist and Program Support Assistant, Upstream Arts.
