About the Show

May 31, 2024

Join Minnesota-based knockout ensemble Davina and the Vagabonds for a release party celebrating the launch of their new album, "Shoot for the Moon"! A full release featuring 15 new songs, this is the band's ninth album. CDs and LPs will be available for purchase at the event.

A new spin on an old sound, Davina and The Vagabonds have created a stir on the international music scene with their high-energy live shows and commanding stage presence. Davina Sowers has been compared to Etta James, Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, Billie Holiday and Betty Boop, but comparisons don't suffice: she is a true original. Bringing you 100 years of American music and Davina's originals, which lend themselves to the American Songbook, the band brings edgy nostalgia to older generations and fresh new music to younger ears.

About the Show

May 4 - June 9, 2024

by DOMINIQUE MORISSEAU; directed by AUSTENE VAN

As the Great Recession of 2008 begins to decimate industries across America, the once-gleaming “Motor City” has lost its luster. At one of its still-standing auto factories, four colleagues-turned-friends hear rumors that their plant is facing foreclosure. Faye, Dez, Shanita and Reggie all have different stakes in the company should it go under, which they grapple with in the break room as the fear of losing their jobs looms. In the final chapter of her acclaimed Detroit trilogy, Dominique Morisseau wrestles with questions of grief, loyalty and self-preservation while exploring the monumental impact of the Recession-era economy on middle-class life.

Skeleton Crew premiered on Broadway in 2022 and received three Tony Award nominations, including Best Play.
