About the Show

May 15-31, 2026

Written by Frances Poet

GUT, written by Frances Poet, makes its U.S. premiere as a gripping psychological drama set in pre‑pandemic Scotland, pulling audiences into the fragile world of trust and paranoia. When a couple, Maddy and Rory, leave their child in the care of a family member, a seemingly innocent encounter with a stranger sparks a spiral of doubt. As Maddy’s thoughts twist into dark “what ifs,” the line between reality and fear begins to blur.
Originally commissioned by the National Theatre of Scotland and first staged at Traverse Theatre in 2018, GUT is raw, tense, and unforgettable – an exploration of parental instinct and the haunting power of imagination.
Featuring Danielle Krivinchuk, Nick Wolf, Elizabeth Desotelle, Sean Dillon.
